I'm back

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Sep 27, 2009 6:12AM

From Cozycot Holy Grail Party 2009 and this is what I had in return. Curious? Read up on my next post ok?

And I'm so glad I made Fats happy. Read her blog here. I just love surprises. Be it giving or receiving. When I was told that she couldn't find L'Officiel magazine, I couldn't help but to get one when I chance upon it, and sent it to her. Though the craze of L'Officiel is over, I thought the surprise come at the right time. At least she wasn't expecting this. Right? heez... Anyhoo, I'm so glad to have a reader like you girl!

Ok, short short post here. For now, kindly excuse me while I blog about the above picture ok? Gonna be back soon.

Love,

Bianca

P.S. Er, my name is Bianca. Not Cheryl. I don't mean to sound rude, but ya, gotta clarify. I have lots of readers calling me Cheryl. heez... Having said that, I'm really used to it, and don't mind if people call me that. So if you are used to, to calling me Cheryl, go ahead, I will still respond. No worries! =)

Bow hair tutorial

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Sep 22, 2009 8:23PM

The title say it all ya? Some of you requested for this bow hair tutorial but I did not do it because I thought the trend seems to be going off. But since I had extra time on hand, I thought it would be good to share how I did mine. Though in the video, my hair is pretty messy, because I did not get it pinned up properly. With more practice, this bow hair tutorial is gonna be easy for you.

Just in case you are interested to know the title of the song, its "Bitter heart" by Zee Avi. I love her songs. She sound like caucasian but she's absolutely asian.

Alright, this is a short post here. I'm off to work now. Hope you girls like the video.

Love,

Bianca

Hmm, 7 interesting things about me. Ok, here goes.

Adorebeauty contest entry

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Sep 19, 2009 8:11AM

I'm super last minute here I know. haha... Was really busy and did not have time until last night. Saw many other makeup gurus entry and they are awesome. Mine is on the simpler side. Hope everyone like it. =)

Was thinking of how to glam it up a little more. So lastly, I used a faux eyelashes, which I have no chance to use previously. And my final outlook is...

It look better this way. With my eyes open, I look downright scary.

Getting into this contest was really fun! Thanks babe for organising it! I had fun, and I believe the rest who participated had fun too!

All the best girls!

Love,
Bianca

Did you know that your eyelids are one of the most oily part of your face? That's one reason why eyeshadows doesn't stay on your eyelids, without proper prepping.

Happy Birthday

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Sep 13, 2009 8:28AM

To me.

Ok, correction, to www.cherylbianca.onsugar.com

Time fly really fast! I started off with full enthusiam, wanting to write reviews, doing video tutorials etc. And I definitely suffered lots of ups and downs!

(Scaring you with a huge picture of me- one of the oldest photo in my blog)

It started with 0 followers, and slowly increased over the year. I'm thankful to have friends and readers out there who love reading it, though I never understand why. I know I don't blog regularly, but am trying to catch up as much as I can.

Initially, I have very minimal ideas on what to blog about. And 365days had past, nothing changed. Trust me, I still have no idea what to blog and wonder why the other beauty gurus has so much ideas. Then again, I pondered on how I can get the amount of posts I had now.

I am glad to be given oppurtunities by others to write a review for them. I was thrilled to be invited for workshops (click here and here), be Maybelline's online ambassador, given a chance to test and write review even before products were out in market and also get sponsored for some products for reviews too.

There's so much more for me to learn out there. Though sometimes I do feel down, especially when I have no inspiration to blog. But all I all, I would like to thank everyone for supporting me.

Is there anything that you like or dislike about my site? Drop me a comment or a mail ok? Love to hear from all of you!

Hugs,
Bianca

OxyMask

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Sep 11, 2009 8:13PM

Here's my review over this well raved mask in town. I'm a little late, because so many out there had tried it. But here's my opinion of it.

Was pretty excited to try it out actually, after hearing my friends talking about it. Reading Xiaxue's blog convinced me even more. And the fact that it can be out of stock in the whole of Singapore, definitely wow me.

So popping by to Sasa on Sunday, when I spotted it on the shelf, I thought it would be good to get it now before its gone again. 1 bottle cost $98.80. They do sell the miniature size, which is good for travelling purposes. For 3 small bottles of it (when I said small, its really small. Its meant for like a one time use), it cost you approximately $29.90. But according to the sales assistant, they are having a promotion right now, and I bought it at $158 for 2 bottles.

Its really easy to use. In fact, I enjoyed having the mask on, that I used it on a daily basis. This is what happened.

I really love it when the bubbles formed all over my face and slowly dissolving. I realised that the foam disappear faster when it is on the more problematic part of the skin. For example, if you have a pimple on your cheek, the foam which surround the pimple disappear faster. To be truthful, when I used it for the first time, it failed to impress me. I do not see much effect right after the first round. My skin does felt softer though. But using it on a daily basis, I do feel my skin being moisturise, and scar lighten bit by bit. And my face definitely felt really clean after washing. Love!!!

On my initial use, I experienced slight stinging pain on my cheeks, but it faded after awhile. I guess this depends on a case to case basis, some might not experience it.

Overall, I do enjoyed using it, and I got addicted to it that it became one of my facial routine.

Like:

- How the bubbles formed and disappear slowly

- The ticklish sensation when the bubbles are working around the face

- No weird odour

Dislike:

- Definitely the price. $98.80 for a bottle is really expensive.

Would I buy it again: Maybe~ I'm considering this because of the price

Hopefully this review help you girls who have yet to try. If you are unwilling to buy the retail size, I would suggest getting the travel pack. At least you can have a try of how it work.

Love,

Bianca

My haul over the weekend

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Sep 11, 2009 6:12AM

Last weekend was a killer to my wallet. For the first time, I stepped into Orchard ION with my colleagues, and can totally feel the adrenaline rush. Went to Sephora, wanted to get the Smashbox face primer but it was OUT OF STOCK. Goodness! Imagine the disappointment.

However, I did not went out empty handed. Bought Too Faced Eye shadow insurance and a white khol eyeliner. That was Saturday. And I'm really lazy to take pictures of it.

On Sunday, while I was over at the airport, I went to get L'Officiel, after reading so many beauty blogs about the free eyeshadow that was throw in with purchase of the magazine.

Ed. Pinaud is said to cost $75, though I had never hear of the brand. But knowing that it is now a freebie, why not grab it? Thank goodness I managed to get the Rose Brown (because that's the only colour left).

With FLASH

Without flash

Its really pigmented, and the glitters made the eyeshadow look much more prettier. That is something that is really worth the price. I wonder how long am I going to take to finish using that.

Went over to shop at Sasa as well, and bought another 2 items which definitely made me poorer.

Got this 2 way eyeliner. One end of it is a black liquid eyeliner, while the other end is a light pink eyeliner. For those who find that using white eyeliner can look really overwhelming, then you can opt for this colour instead, because its shade is closer to our skin colour.

With this, you can create those kawaii big eyes. However, I hate washing the black liquid eyeliner away. Its like as though its been tattoo on your skin, and even my trustworthy Fancl cleansing oil has difficulty in removing it cleanly. In fact I was becoming all panicky, worrying that I will never be able to remove it.

My last buy has got to be the latest raving. Xiaxue blogged about it before. Nu Ren Wo Zui Da talked about it before. And I also have friends who rave much about it. In fact there was a period of time, where the whole Singapore went out of stock. You should have know by now what I'm referring you to.

Its OXYMASK!

Anyone tried it yet? What your thoughts on it? My review of it is coming up soon.

Shall see you girls again!

Love,
Bianca
