I've lied.

I didn't mean to, but I'm gonna share with all of you what exactly happened.

I did not have a hair cut. Yup, Annaling, so there's absolute no problems with me styling my hair. Haha..

Thing is, that short hair that you saw in the pictures, were fake. I tied a fake bob. Another new hairstyle that I've been learning lately. Heez...

And I pretty much love that look. Now I'm really tempted to get a haircut just like that. Sigh.

See you girls soon,

New hairdo

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Sep 2, 2009 1:57AM

Out of my impulsive nature, I decided to give my long mane a good haircut. And *poof*, this is how I look right now.

I like the current length, it makes me feel light and gives me a fresher look. Though I think I still need time to adapt to it.

I'm not sure if I will regret this move, because it took me forever to have my hair grew to the previous length.

What do you think about it? Which do you prefer?

Hope to hear from you girls soon.

See ya!

Yours,

Bianca

Killer Heels

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Aug 21, 2009 11:28PM

I believe most girls love high heels. As for me, I love heels so much, that I only own 1 flats, while the remaining are high heels. At tender age of 12, I've been starting to wear those whenever I'm out. During my tetiary years, it was heels for me daily to school. In fact, the higher the heels, the more glad I am.

Whoever heard that heels are bad for health?

I do.

But girls, don't we ignore advice for the sake of beauty? Don't we just want to look good?

Awhile back, I was reading HeavenlyGorgeous blog about heels, and I thought it was good to give my 2cents about it as well.

With everything, there are advantages and disadvantages. So its good to compare to see if its beneficial. Shall talk with the advantages first.

Heels, gives the illusion of looking tall. Short girls like me need that extra help alot. Besides, it make your legs look nicer, and its really easy to match your style. Lastly, it definitely give you the extra boost of confidence.

However, the disadvantages of heels are not so pretty. Firstly, there's definitely lots of pain. Walking a long distance causes discomforts, and you have a high risk of spraining your ankle. Ouch! And those extra height make walking a lot more difficult! Supermodels who walked the runway have their fair share of falling too. Watch this video to believe it. And with long term of heels, your back is going to suffer too.

Heels make your body propel forward, in order to balance yourself. This in turn, strain your back.

And because I'm a victim of chronic back pain, I feel a need to share with all you readers, so you can look after your health too. Lately, a visit to the doctor, made me realised that I had slipped disc.

In medical terms, it meant that the pad between the bone and spine had either rupture or split. In turn, the jelly-like substance leaked, and will thus apply pressure on the spinal cord. Needless to say, this causes pain.

Of course, heels were definitely the culprit, and that is why I am banned from wearing heels. Grr.. But for my health, it is worth it.

So girls, if you are like me, having heels as your staple in your dressing, please remember to give your back and legs a rest. Afterall, flats can look good too! You don't wanna regret for life right?

Take care girls!

Love,

Bianca

Beggar for a day

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Aug 16, 2009 9:56AM

Its interesting to be able to do a makeup that is totally different from what I usually does for models. With this theme in mind, I got to push myself forward and allow my creative juice to flow. It was really fun working with Solange, as she's friendly and really open to ideas too.

And I really give her my utmost respect for being able to dress and take such wonderful shots in the busy Orchard Road. I know it wasn't easy, but its worth it because those photos were taken professionally.

Here are some shots for my portfolio.

For more pictures, you can go to my portfolio to view. Click here.

My next post is gonna be something about health. Though not makeup related, but I reckon, its good to share.

Hope you girls have a good week ahead!

Japanese Inspired Look tutorial

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Aug 11, 2009 11:58AM

Finally I'm done with my video edit and this is how I did my Japanese Inspired look. Hairstyle is different from previous post, because I did the video recording on another day. Still, I would show you how my braided hairband is made soon. =)

For now, I can't get over how much I love hair bow. Lady Gaga created this iconic fashion and it showered great impact on yours truly. It took me awhile to master my hair bow, and yes I know, there are others out there who have done that.

(My messy bow after a day out. Imagine me going through a crowd who were excited about watching fireworks. Its no wonder my hair fail to stay neat.)

Hope you girls like the video (I have friends who told me I look real funny when my movements were fast forward, but I thought it would be good to keep the video short).

Yours,

Bianca

Japanese Inspired Look

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Aug 10, 2009 7:48AM

Its the same excuse again, but work is work, and I failed to update regularly. Despite the busy times, I'm addicted to Japanese look lately. Been learning on their different kawaii hairstyles, and definitely working on a Japanese inspired look. Collaged some of the selected photos together, and here it is.

It looks pretty nude, and is definitely different from my usual colourful eyeshadow. I love how it look, lately I've been dolling myself with this look. And not forgetting my braided hair which acts like my hairband.

Love how the whole makeup made my eyes look bigger. =)

If you interested in this look, look out for the tutorial. I'm editing it right now. Hope you girls will like it.

Love,

Bianca
