Your daily bread on Beauty

Funky Purple

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Jul 31, 2009 12:18PM

So my annual leave has ended, but I must say its a fruitful one. Had completed what I planned to do, and am glad that it hit my expectation. Anyway, short post here. Is my EOTD on the last day of my leave, using the 3 colours that my friend got for me from London. Pink, purple and green are such nice combination. Make one look really edgy.

I promised you that this post is short and I kept my word for it. Haha...

Shall say good bye here.

And hey, though I may not update daily for now, forget-me-not ok?

Huggies,

Relax and rejuvenate

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Jul 28, 2009 4:00AM

How do you does that?

Out in the busy and hectic world, where time is running past you so quickly and everywhere around you are so urban. Its hard for one to really escape the hustle. Some prefer shopping therapy, some prefer lazing at home while others choose to (s)pacify themselves.

After doing all my homework on which spa I should spent my weekend at, I finally decided to pick................................................

*Drum roll*

Spa Vintage

There were so many reasons why I chose this among the rest.

Ambience [x]

Price- [x]

Good service [x]

Their professional services impressed me loads. When I entered, I was greeted with warm smile and a cup of ginger tea. Then I was brought to a room for a full body scrub.

I felt extremely comfortable once I stepped into the room. Its quiet, peaceful and the dim lighting made me feel as though I'm on a paradise. And what I like best about the room is that there is a little jacuzzi corner.

Looks like some kind of volcano that's gonna erupt. This jacuzzi changes colours every now and then. And that's exactly where I soaked myself in for a good 30 minutes after my body scrub.

I looked so silly in that shower cap. Don't laugh ok?

There is always a problem taking photos in dark places, so I'm left with no choice, I used my flash instead, which of course failed to show you exactly how romantic that place is. But if you want to have a look, here it is.

Feeling very excited to get in. And after 30 minutes is up, I'm treated to a full body massage which loosen every knots in my body. It was so good that I almost slept. Wishing that this will go on forever, it stopped.

But no, that's not all. They proceeded to give me a facial and then a little scalp massage.

I was totally recharged after the whole experience, and am yearning to go back again for another session.

The next time round, I'm going to try another treatment from them.

Hope this helps!

Love,

Bianca

Mini haul and ramblings

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Jul 26, 2009 8:57AM

Before I blogged about my hauls(hint: the 3 colourful things from my previous post), I need to ask you girls for help.

Omg, onsugar is driving me crazy. I'm not tech savvy, so its obvious why I'm always facing problems. And I'm really frustrated because I can't get things done.

For some reason, and I don't know why, my widgets is encountering problems. You know you can shift your widgets up and down by dragging right? But now I can't. When I click on it, and dragged it, it fail to be place where I want it to. In fact, its in dragging mode like forever. And because of that, I can't do my edits.

Next thing is, I can't seem to put a banner link at my side bar. Sigh, there's so many problem. If any of you know how to solve it, please tell me ok? Your advices are most appreciated. Arigato Gozaimasu!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, that was my ramblings, and now, I'm gonna talk about my mini haul.

If you remember, I ever blogged about how much I love 17 eyeshadows because its pigmented. And I regretted much because I only bought 1 colour back from London. So when my friend told me she's going to London, you could totally predict what I did. I gave her my leftover pounds and got her to buy for me.

I didn't give her a specific colour to buy. Merely told her I want it from this brand and get me pretty colours. And I'm really glad to receive all this pretty colours.

Besides being highly pigmented, its also has a range of extremely bright colours eyeshadows.

Bright colors always make people feel better. Agree?

The colours also blends easily on the eyes which make application so much more easier. And these colours are so good in creating an edgy feel. Pricing wise was also reasonable. I've gotten this haul for 10pounds. Looking at the packaging, I know its going to last me for a long time. It seems almost impossible to finish using it. If you own NYX loose pigments, you probably know why.

The colours from left to right are: shocking pink, punky purple and seagreen splash

That's all for my mini haul today. Hope everyone like it. And remember, if you know how to solve my problem (those stated above), please help ok?

Next up, its gonna be something relaxing!!

P.S. I realised I update daily during my leave. Not sure if you girls like it or not. Tell me about it too ok? Love!!!

Take care!

Lush

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Jul 24, 2009 12:33PM

Having a bad hair day lately, and doing lots of planning. Feeling pretty stress at times, am planning to go for spa. Thing is, I can't decide to go for the outdoor style or the indoor style spa. Both are equally tempting. Hmmm..

Created this look with forest inspiration (seems like I'm more for outdoor spa). Its been awhile since I last used green eyeshadow as part on my look. As I'm fair, I felt that colours like green and blue look really weird on me. So thinking that cool colour work badly on me, I tried warm colour like brown. And nope, I look worse in warm colours. In fact, the best colour I can wear are normally the smoky eyes style. A little black at the outer corner of my eyes never fail to make everything look better.

But sometimes, I just got to believe in myself, and chuck away bad thoughts. Being confident also helps. Things will work out fine if you have faith in yourself.

And now I do like to see myself in greens. Lime green plus dark forest green are one of the best combination!

So girls, always have faith in yourself, and more good things will come your way.

Cheers!

Cleopatra look tutorial

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Jul 23, 2009 8:28AM

As promised girls, my tutorial is done and ready for viewing. Still love this look despite the fact that the shiny blings are missing and false eyelashes were not present as well. All in all, I still love the combination of the colours.

Watch my video, and if you like it, remember to subscribe. I can't wait to create other tutorials soon. *Sometimes I really wished I'm not camera shy, because I'm always lost for words when I'm recording*

Here you go babes,

Hope you girls like this! Now I need more inspiration!

Take care!

Yours,

Bianca

A short short update

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Jul 22, 2009 7:08AM

Girls,

I'm currently editing a video tutorial right now, and you are going to see a difference as compared to previous tutorial. I'm so excited and happy about it. The colours and images are much more sharper than before. And guess what look I'm doing? Shall upload that very soon.

For now, I need your opinion girls. As a freelance makeup artist (yes, I'm certified), a portfolio is important. Currently, I'm still building it up slowly. Got to bear with it because of my shift work, its really difficult for me to accept assignments, but I'm still trying hard.

Anyway, after such a long time, I've decided to place all my previous works into a site for easier viewing. There were supposed to be more photos, for example, bride makeup, but I thought perhaps I will put that into another folder in future. So girls, please take some of your precious time to drop by here and tell me how you feel about it ok?

http://fotologue.jp/cherylbiancamakeup

In the future, just click on the button "View my portfolio" at the left side and it will direct you there. =)

Hope to hear from you girls soon. Thank you in advance babes!

Love,

Bianca

All about colours

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Jul 18, 2009 12:32AM

Another 6 days and I'll be having my annual leave. Yipee!!! I'm so happy about it. Thank you girls for commenting on the Cleopatra look. Was thinking if I should do a video tutorial on it. Hmm...

Anyway, I did another look which is really colourful and pretty much remind me of a phoenix. Colours never fail to make me happy.

Its not an everyday look, so you can imagine me being worried about how outsiders will see me as. Thank goodness my friends like it, or I'll be worrying more than enjoying my night out with them. Its always a cosy feeling to meet up with close friends to chill and have dinner together. This time round, the girls hang out together because of a birthday celebration. So happen, one of them just came back from Australia, and gotten us a gift.

The lip balms are outrageously CUTE!! There were different flavors, and after sniffing at each of it, I decided to take the cherry balm.

Yes yes, this is my pick!!! I love the taste of cherry. Have yet to try it, but seriously, I can't bear to use it. Contradicting!

Shall wait for the day when I decided to open and use it. For now, I'm gonna have a nap to conserve the energy for my night shift later on.

See ya!

Yours,

Bianca

Cleopatra for the night

Posted By cherylbianca ~ Jul 13, 2009 9:58AM

Had my very first D&D with the theme around the world. And it feels so good to see everyone sporting enough to dress up. It was just so fun and photo taking makes everything more fun. Posing differently with our costumes to express ourselves. Heez..

And I must say, I'm very happy with the way I looked that day. Initially I wanted to dress up as a geisha and was frantically thinking of how my makeup should be. Ideas kept pouring in, but time was too short for me to try the different looks. However, 2 days before D&D I brought Jamie to choose her costumes, that's when I decided to change from Geisha to Cleopatra.

I have always love Eygpt alot, and that's explained the outfit perfectly. Besides my own makeup, I did for my dear Jamie too. Jamie dressed up as a Victorian girl. Very elegant I must say.

And as for me, this is how it look.

I really love the colour combination!!!

As you can see, I'm a very happy cleopatra. Photos were good that day. Lighting was in my favor making it able to capture those colours properly. My lips were thickly filled with gold pigments, but its not very obviously in the picture though.

Sigh, I wish there are more such dress up costume party. I love it to the bits!

Before I go, here's my favorite picture of the day. My camera flash make that little bling on my eye shine. I like the outcome of the photo!!!

Definitely not photoshopped. The only photoshop used here were the text. Pretty right? Heez...

Ok, I can't wait for my annual leave to come now. Counting down daily. I've got tutorials to do!!!

Good night girls!

Love,

Cleopatra
